Audio Revolution Group introduces its first rock group, Black Angel Down with lead vocals performed by Nokio, also co-owner of the label. After years of making his niche in the melodic harmonies natural to the smooth styles of the multi-platinum R&B group, Dru Hill; Nokio is now indulging on his darker side. Black Angel Down is a force to be reckoned with, with their heavy rock sound it is definitely reminiscent of the cities underground Alternative Rock Scene. In fact Black Angel Down’s members have been a part of some of Baltimore’s most well-known bands for decades—The Mayan Factor, Live Alien Broadcast, Imbue and Rosabella. A fellow Dru Hill member, Tao, has lent his vocals to create an amazing multi-layered harmony, an eclectic marriage of R&B and Rock-and-Roll. This union between the two musical genres can be found on the rock version of Dru Hill’s famed song, How Deep Is Your Love.
